    RAT BASTARD FRIDAY
    RAT BASTARD FRIDAY

Who's the bane of YOUR existence? Surely there's someone who pisses you off in such a huge way that it merits flogging, at least. 'Round here, we call that person a RAT BASTARD. Who is the person you most want to rip a new asshole for whatever reason? Go ahead - now's your chance to put them on blast. Start commenting, and have fun gettin' your hate on - and out.

Go on - vent your spleen...

Also, check out/participate in the Friday Confessional and the subsequent Sunday Stoning, brought to you by the fantastic [info]city_of_dis.

    Friday Thought . . . .
"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward with the life that God intended for you."

    Stuff in my head right now;
Things I miss about England: Trains. Trains are fucking awesome.

I also miss walking around strange places I didn't know. It made life a bit more interesting. London was a place I could never know completely, so there would always be at least some mystery.

I think I got screwed up when I was younger (okay, that's probably the understatement of the year, and the year is early, but bare with me). Whenever I said I wanted to be a writer or an artist I was always told I had to have something to fall back on. It's gotten to the point where I'm more obsessed with backup than the writing and the art. I just got through going through ALL of my old sketchpads. Some of these dating back over a decade. I may not have been a better artist back then, but the ideas were freer from constraint.

I think I'm going to burn most of the sketchpads in the near future. A pyre for it all. It feels like I've been carrying this weight through every move for the last few years.

I also think I'll be getting rid of some more of my book collection. I just recently parted with a great chunk of it at one of the local used stuff establishments. I traded it in for more stuff basically. Ditto for this though.

I'm also putting the Heroclix collection up on ebay in its entirety. It needs to go away. Same for a lot of Dragon Dice I found (which still can bring in a chunk of cash oddly enough) and some Dreamblade minis I've had laying about. Hopefully the ebay gods shall smile down upon me.

I cashed in my tattoo fund today. 250 dollars. It's almost another rent check which is good.

Anyway, that's all I've got for today. I'll probably babble more tomorrow.

    ~late~

I have a problem with lateness. Always have. Todays photo, yesterdays Love & Zombies (which I am currently working on while Dave flips through Last FM on XboX360, it'll hopefully go up today), getting myself to work... I just have some mental thing that prevents me from being anywhere or doing anything on time. I have been working harder on changing that.

    I really am.

Anyway, so I'm spending some time working through my insecurities. They'll probably show up in this week and the following weeks comics... shit, like that was some sorta shock, right? All my comics are about my moods and bullshit... I dunno. I'm rambling here 'cause I'm listening to all of these songs and some of them are taking me back... sometimes to a good place, and sometimes to places I really would rather forget.

    Random things:
~Laughed my ass off when Dave mentioned that DC should have Risk's arms and Barbara Gordon's spine come back as Black Lanterns.
    ~Insomnia sucks
~I really hate Wizard... even more, I hate myself for buying that crap ass magazine.
~I have an awesome little brother. I don't say that enough.
~I need to work harder on my photography. I don't think I do enough.
    ~Frankie Say Relax.

    Way to go, Sabres! (5-3)
    Jason Pominville

Jason Pominville goes for the goal

Sabres use early 3-goal flurry to beat Lightning

yler Myers, Jochen Hecht and Clarke MacArthur scored in the first 2:11 of the game and the Buffalo Sabres held on for a 5-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday night.

Drew Stafford and Jason Pominville also scored to help Buffalo win its fifth straight game, the team's longest winning streak since a six-game stretch in December 2007. Ryan Miller made 36 saves in his 300th NHL game.

Martin St. Louis, Victor Hedman and Vincent Lecavalier scored for Tampa Bay, 5-2-1 in its last eight. Mike Smith, making his seventh straight start, stopped 30 shots.

The Sabres' early burst was the fastest three-goal start in team history. Myers' goal 23 seconds into play came on a slap shot immediately following a faceoff. Hecht scored 48 seconds later on a tip-in from the slot, and MacArthur finished the flurry with a scoop-in after Smith made the initial stop.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was the fourth-fastest start by a team since 1979-80, and the fastest since Detroit scored three times in the first 1:48 of a 12-0 rout of Chicago in December 1987. Tampa Bay, however, trimmed the lead to 3-2 by the end of the opening period with goals by St. Louis and Hedman. Stafford restored the two-goal cushion with a power-play goal 1:19 into the second period. Lecavalier and Pominville traded goals later in the period.

Toni Lydman, Tim Connolly and Craig Rivet each had two assists for the Sabres.

NOTES: Connolly extended his point streak to seven games, matching his career best previously done in January 2001 while with the New York Islanders. ... St. Louis' goal gave him points in eight straight games. ... Tampa Bay LW Alex Tanguay played in his 700th NHL game. ... Buffalo coach Lindy Ruff earned his 465th victory, breaking a tie with Glen Sather for fourth place for career wins with one club. Ruff needs 35 wins to tie No. 3 Toe Blake, who had 500 with Montreal.

    Another Key For my Collection

    man in a suitcase - 6/365

Every hotel room key from last year. i don't know why i decided to keep them all, but you know me...

"i'd invite you back to my place
It's only mine because it holds my suitcase
It looks like home to me alright
But it's a hundred miles from yesterday night

Must i be the man in a suitcase?
Is it me, the man with the stranger's face?

    Another key for my collection
For security i race for my connection
Bird in a flying cage you'll never get to know me well
The world's my oyster, a hotel room's my prison cell"

    Happy Epiphany!
I’m not very religious, but for Epiphany (January 6th) I decided to burn some incense. You probably can’t tell from the picture its “Three Kings”. Get it? Its a mixture of Frankincense, Myrrh, and something else. Its a resin incense that you put on a charcoal burner. Well, its way more smoke than my 1 bedroom apartment can handle. I had to get the hot pads and move it outside and air out my place a bit.

    Who Comments On My Posts

Not a reflection on who is commenting, just a comment on my posts I guess. Guess I need to post more and make them a bit more interesting. Nakedness might help. note: I actually got the right to use this cartoon after seeing his warning on the Savage Chicken site. I've wanted to use it as a comment on someone's, anyone's, post for so long, but no one has had a really "meh" post yet.

    last of the free men
In August 1911, a group of butchers discovered a 50-year-old “wild man” in their corral in Oroville, Calif. The local sheriff gave him into the keeping of a San Francisco anthropology museum, where he remained until his death five years later.

It’s believed that “Ishi” was the very last of his kind — the last of his group, the last of his people, and the last Native American in Northern California to have lived free of the encroaching European-American civilization.

The rest had been killed in encounters with the white man.

Talking Heads - Girlfriend is Better
Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band, currently Cornelius, Yuka Honda (Cibo Matto) and Sean Lennon, are coming to the Fox Theater on Tuesday Feb 23rd. Presale starts tomorrow morning at 7, though Ticketmaster. Special code renard.

I am so excited, this promises to be the high point musically for me in 2010. Even Coachella can't top this. Damn. Anyone else up for it?
